The Department of Pulmonary Medicine at KRIMS Hospital is an Institute in itself. The Respiratory Medicine Department is ably led by one of the pioneer Chest Physician of Central India, Dr. Ashok Arbat and supported by a highly energetic team of Pulmonologists.

Not only General Pulmonology facilities like Spirometry, Bronchoscopy, Allergy testing and Sleep Study but also Interventional Pulmonology facilities like EBUS, Cryotherapy, Tracheal & Bronchial Stenting were made available under one roof for the first time in central India, by Department of Pulmonology at KRIMS Hospital. This was done with a vision of our Chief Pulmonologist Dr. Ashok Arbat, with 40+ years of experience and the mission accomplished by his three fellow Chest Physicians, having a collective professional experience of another 40+ years. This development has proved to be a boon for patients from Central India, who, otherwise had to reach out to bigger and very expensive centers at Mumbai, Hyderabad or Delhi.

Today, the Department is performing on the four strong pillars of four Pulmonologists but many more ones from the whole Central India are likely to join as Co-consultants to this ambitious & unique project.
